All graduates of HU develop the skills necessary to become Spiritual Direction consultants.The HU program offers a Special Emphasis Track devoted to instruction in concepts and modalities useful for Spiritual Direction.Courses in this Track include studies in holistic medicine, energy medicine, personal development, transpersonal psychology, principles of spiritual direction, and holistic healing.Many of the university’s programs of study emphasize awakening to the mystery of spirit through meditative and contemplative practices.Spiritual direction is not specific to any religious tradition, but supports the life-enhancing spiritual dimensions of all major religions and traditions.
