Residencies

While most of the Holos courses utilize a distance learning format, there is some material best learned through hands-on experience.  Residencies provide students the opportunity to deepen their experience of community by attending 1 to 3 day workshops that supplement the distance learning.

Graduation & Ordination Ceremonies

Graduation is an exciting event at Holos.  Doctoral Dissertations and Master's Theses or Essays are based, not on faculty interests, but on the passion driving the student who produces the work.  This has been true since the beginning of the Seminary when its founding President, Dr. C. Norman Shealy, enthusiastically introduced students to an approach to their research by asking each, “What is your passion?”

Join us at Unity Village outside of Kansas City Missouri in September to celebrate the accomplishments of our new Holos Graduates.  Hear about their research, their time at Holos, and their plans to take the learnings from Holos out to the world. The Commissioning service for All Faiths Church follows the graduation ceremony for those students who, through their coursework and recommendation by Faculty have met all the requirements and earned Ordination in All Faiths Church.

International Society for the Studies
of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine

ISSSEEM was created in 1989 to support and present research into subtle energies and energy medicine.  In the letter that was sent out inviting members to join the new Society, Elmer Green wrote that this was, “… a field which though acknowledged to exist by many researchers and clinicians, rarely has received serious scientific study, and seldom has received funds sufficient for definitive research.”

There have been many advances in the field since then. There is a definitive body of knowledge that has been gained from continuing serious scientific study. The ISSSEEM community has played a leading role in establishing the legitimacy and relevance of subtle energies research. The greater need now is to produce competent, careful, and well-qualified studies that further develop the field and provide clarification of common ideas that may not be useful or based on facts. Some current subtle energies concepts and practices need to be tested to gain accurate, reliable information that will stand the test of time.

Science Symposium

The Research Symposium has a three-fold purpose:
1) to present on-going, good quality, academic research that meets consistent standards of care and skill in research design.
2) to support people beginning to do research by teaching the necessary steps and by discussion of options for training.
3) to provide an environment in which research is presented and heard.

The program will include a Welcome from the Symposium Chair and the ISSSEEM CEO; a Keynote presentation; abstract presentations by symposium participants (selected from submitted proposals); other plenary speakers; poster sessions; and a scientific research panel.  The abstracts presented at the symposium will be published in the Research Symposium Proceedings.

ISSSEEM Conference

The ISSSEEM conference is an interactive peer-to-peer conference held to serve as an open forum for scientific and intuitive exploration of integrative healing, applied spirituality, and the subtle realms.

The next ISSSEEM Conference,
Finding Balance, is scheduled for September 6-8, 2018.
