Special Emphasis Certification & Degrees
|
"The minute you begin to do
what you really want to do, it becomes a different kind of life." - Buckminster Fuller |
Special Emphasis Tracks are designed to offer both Certificate Students and Degree Students an opportunity to focus on a specific area of study. The courses chosen for each Track, when combined, offer a substantial background in a chosen Special Emphasis. In the Master’s program students who follow a Track use courses in the Track to designate their electives. In the Doctoral Program, students who choose a Track will complete the courses in the Track, but will also choose additional electives from the list of electives in the catalog.
Full course lists and track requirements are listed in the current catalog. Unlike choosing a “Major” in an undergraduate program, designation of a Special Emphasis Track is not required, and students may elect to complete the core courses and then select all of their electives from the full list of electives.
